Sleep apnea is such a prevalent disorder that I, Eddie the Yeti, am trying to de-stigmatize. We spend 1/3 of our life sleeping so why not make the most of it! Keep reading to find out some facts about sleep apnea and how it can affect your day-to-day life.
Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is the most common type of sleep‑related breathing disorder. It happens when the airway becomes blocked during sleep, causing breathing to slow down or stop briefly.
When this occurs, sleep is disrupted—often without you realizing it. Your body works harder to restart breathing, pulling you out of deep, restful sleep and leaving you feeling tired the next day.
